An Evening At the Fireside...

Lest you think I only write about Kai, rest assured that his older sister Mimi has plenty of adventures too. Sunday evening Kai and Mimi's older sister went to her first "youth fireside." ("Fireside" is a Mormon phenomenon born of the belief that 3 hours of church is not nearly enough and is an endeavor to cram yet one more meeting into a Sunday. I think the term heralds back to a day in the distant past when the meetings were held literally near an actual fire). While I've never seen a fire at a fireside, I guess Mimi was expecting one. When her sister got home Mimi innocently asked her how many marshmallows she roasted at the fireside... Maybe if they roasted marshmallows at firesides they might get better turnout. I might even go myself.
